Riser voids present one of the biggest safety challenges of any large-scale construction site, due to the risk of workers falling from height, or being struck by a moving object. Working in partnership with our provider, Dura Composites, we offer riser void protection in the form of a non-slip glass reinforced plastic (GRP) floor grating system.

Dura Composites is a global supplier of composite products, working with developers, architects, and contractors such as ourselves, to provide a range of fibreglass building and construction products and services, including GRP grating. We can apply their GRP grating on its own to cover existing voids, or we can provide the full Dura Riser System and framework that’s compatible with our own metal section flooring.

Naturally we’re very selective about the products and providers we work with, and Dura’s unique, patented d2 GRP system offers outstanding safety, performance and durability. Purpose built for riser environments, it is Class B fire-rated, 20mm Ball Fall Test compliant, proven Live Load tested, and up to 33% lighter than other products available on the market.

These lightweight properties, alongside the fact that it was manufactured with adjustability in mind means we can install it for you faster, reducing time and additional costs, while significantly improving site logistics and access. It also eliminates the need for scaffold handrails, netting or timber shuttering.
